Planting Details:

• SUN & SOIL: Performs best in light to moderate shade, in fertile, moist, well-drained soils.
• TALL: Grows up to 2-3 ft. tall and 1-2 ft. wide. Will self-seed readily in good garden soils if flowers are not deadheaded.
• WHEN TO PLANT: May be grown from seed sown directly in the garden in spring (after danger of frost has passed), late summer, or early autumn.
• PRUNING: Prune columbine plants back to their healthy base leaves just after blooming. Doing so might promote the second set of stem growth within a few weeks enabling you to enjoy another wave of blooms later in the season.
• USE: Easy to grow, this plant is a welcomed addition to beds and borders, cottage gardens, shade gardens, or naturalized areas. Makes good cut flowers.
